Privacy Policy
Effective May 26, 2026.
This page explains what information comptrio.com collects when you visit, what happens to that information, and what choices you have. Comptrio is a one-person operation that builds and ships FactoryOS, and the site is run with the same restraint the product is built around: collect the minimum, share none of it, and say so plainly.
The short version
The site itself stores nothing on your device beyond what is required to load pages. Google Analytics 4 is loaded on every page and reports aggregate traffic statistics to me through Google. If you submit the contact form, the name, email, company, industry, and message you enter are sent to me by email so I can reply. That is the entire footprint of the site.
Information collected directly by the site
The contact form on the homepage collects only what you type into it. The fields are your name, email address, company, industry selection, and a free-text message. The form transmits that information to my inbox at the moment of submission. The site does not store the message in a customer database, syndicate it to a CRM, or share it with any third party. If you do not submit the form, the site collects nothing from you directly.
The site sets no marketing or advertising cookies, runs no ad pixels, and embeds no third-party social-media trackers.
Information collected by Google Analytics 4
Every page on comptrio.com loads Google Analytics 4, which is a measurement service provided by Google. GA4 reports aggregate metrics about how the site is used: page views, traffic sources, approximate geographic region derived from IP address, browser and device type, and event-level interactions such as scroll depth and outbound clicks. Google assigns each visitor a randomized identifier so that repeat visits within a session can be counted as one. That identifier is processed by Google on Google's infrastructure under Google's terms.
I see only the aggregated reports Google produces. I do not receive your IP address in raw form, I do not receive your name or email through GA4, and I do not link GA4 data to anything you might submit through the contact form.
If you prefer not to be measured this way, you can install a tracker-blocking browser extension, enable browser-level tracking protection, or use Google's official opt-out add-on. Doing so will prevent GA4 from loading on this site.
How information is used
Contact-form submissions are used to reply to you. Aggregate GA4 reports are used to understand which articles people read, where visitors come from, and where the site is breaking or confusing. Neither source is used to build advertising profiles, neither is sold or rented, and neither is shared with any party other than Google in its capacity as the GA4 processor.
Your contact-form message is not used to train any AI model — mine or anyone else's — and is not processed by any third-party AI service on its way to me. It is read by a person and answered by a person. Comptrio does not rely on third-party AI services for any part of its own operation.
How information is shared
I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. I do not share contact-form submissions with any third party. The only outbound flow of any personal data from this site is the GA4 data Google receives in the course of providing the analytics service, which is governed by Google's own privacy terms.
I may disclose information when required by a valid legal process, when necessary to protect the rights or safety of any person, or when investigating misuse of the site.
Your choices
You can browse comptrio.com without submitting the contact form, in which case nothing identifies you to me. You can decline GA4 measurement by blocking the script at the browser level or installing the Google opt-out add-on. You can ask me to delete any message you have sent me, or to confirm what I have on file, by submitting that request through the contact form. I will respond within a reasonable time and will delete on request unless I am required to retain the message to comply with law.
Residents of jurisdictions that grant additional rights — for example, the right to access, correct, or delete personal information under state or national privacy laws — may exercise those rights by sending the request through the contact form.
Children
Comptrio is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information, send a note through the contact form and I will delete it.
Security of the information held
Contact-form messages arrive in a mailbox protected by standard provider-side authentication and transport encryption. GA4 data resides on Google's infrastructure. No system is unbreakable, and I make no representation that the transmission of information over the public internet is fully secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the site evolves or as the law requires. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
