Google Search Console Data

How we Access Data

For users who integrate your Google Search Console (GSC) data with our service, we access your GSC data using Google APIs. This is only possible if you connect your GSC account and give Google permission to share your GSC data this with this app.

When you approve this app to Google, we will access an identifier from Google that we use to make requests for data, called an authorization token, to access the Google API on your behalf. If you revoke this permission, either through your Google account or through the Revoke button in your account settings here at Comptrio, we no longer access your Google data from GSC.

Which Data do we Access?

  • We access your website performance data from Google Search Console, including keywords, backlinks, clicks, impressions, rank position and any errors found by Google while crawling the site.
  • We access and store an authorization token when you authorize this system to access your GSC data. You can revoke this authorization at any time within your DIY SEO Toolbox account or your Google account.

How we use your website data

This data is used to display website performance metrics to you within your DIY SEO Toolbox account and to create prioritized lists of your pages based on various criteria you select.

We combine our own crawler data from your website audit with the GSC data to create derivative measurements of your website and to help focus your SEO efforts on the most beneficial pages of your website, where you need it most.

How we store your data

The bulk of your GSC data is stored for up to 30 days before being deleted. However, clicks, impressions, ranking, keywords, and URLs are stored for up to 1 year or until you cancel your service (whichever is sooner) to provide historic data to you on your website growth and performance.

Your data will be stored in secure databases on our servers located in the United States. Each client account has your own database for storing the data within your own account, so it never mixes with data from other users.

The access token identifier that we store after you approve this app is stored until you cancel service or revoke permission for us to use your GSC data.

How we share your data

We don’t share your data. GSC data is not shared with any third parties and is only accessible within your account, except when providing customer support at your request and our specialist needs to review your account data to provide support. We take your privacy and data security seriously.
