FAQ about FactoryOS Local Agentic System
Frequently Asked Questions
FactoryOS is a private AI platform that runs entirely on hardware inside your building. Your employees get a secure, browser-based app to chat with AI, search your company data, generate reports, images, flowcharts, and more — without anything ever leaving your facility. Think of it as your own private version of ChatGPT, built around your business.
Cloud AI tools send your data to someone else's servers. If you handle sensitive client data, medical records, financial information, or proprietary processes, that's a real risk. With FactoryOS, the AI runs on your machine, in your building. Nothing leaves. No subscriptions to a cloud provider. No wondering what happens to your data.
It includes the hardware (an NVIDIA DGX Spark), a fully configured installation of FactoryOS, and basic integration into your existing data — so your team can start using it on day one. I handle the hardware, the software, and the setup. You just use it.
This is a starting point. Depending on your team size, your industry, and what you want to build on top of it, the right solution may look different. The $10k offer is designed to get us into a real conversation about what your business actually needs.
Your business probably has files, documents, spreadsheets, databases, emails, and other records in various places. Part of the setup involves connecting FactoryOS to those sources so your team can ask questions against your own information — not just generic AI knowledge. Who can access what data is controlled through the permissions system.
Through a standard web browser. Every employee gets a secure login with two-factor authentication, SSO, or OAuth depending on your setup. Access goes through Cloudflare Tunnels, so it works from anywhere with the right credentials — without exposing your hardware directly to the internet.
Yes, at a very granular level. Data is segmented by source. Roles and departments control which employees can access which information — and those permissions apply to AI queries too. An employee in sales only gets answers drawn from data they're permitted to see. Admins can set role-wide permissions or override them per individual user. All of it is logged.
It's our core philosophy. AI doesn't replace your people — it runs the long, tedious research tasks so your people can focus on actual decisions. Your staff shows up in the morning and the system has already compiled what they need to know: trends, inventory flags, pending items, summaries. They review it, decide what to act on, and move to the next thing. Work that used to take half a day gets done before the first coffee is finished. That's the 10x.
Yes. FactoryOS runs 24/7. Background agents continue working, processing, and monitoring overnight. When something needs a human decision, the system queues it for approval — you log in and see a clear summary of what was found, why it matters, and your options. You approve or reject. The agent acts. You move on.
FactoryOS has a HIPAA mode. Flipping it on locks the system down — data stays on-premise, encryption at rest is enforced, access and changes are logged for compliance records, and outside connections are disabled. I carry a BAA (Business Associate Agreement) and can manage the hardware and software on an ongoing basis as your BAA-covered provider.
I'm your local AI concierge. That covers monitoring disk and resource usage, software updates, adding newer AI models as they become available, and any custom work your organization needs — new agents, integrations, or features. Some of this is included, some is billed separately depending on scope. We'll discuss that upfront.
Yes, if you want it to. FactoryOS can connect to external APIs, frontier AI models, and communication tools like email, SMS, and Slack — or it can be locked down completely. You control the switch. Many businesses use the hybrid mode: internal data stays private, but agents can reach out to pull in public information when needed.
That's expected, and it's part of the process. The initial conversation is as much about listening as it is about selling. If you have 500 employees who need access, or you want to build a custom agentic workflow on top of the system, the hardware and scope will change accordingly. I'll never oversell you hardware you don't need — but I'll tell you clearly when your ambitions require more than the entry package.
Small and mid-sized businesses that handle sensitive data or have operational complexity that generic AI tools can't touch. Medical practices, legal firms, logistics companies, manufacturers, financial services, contractors with proprietary processes — any organization that wants the productivity benefits of AI without handing their data to a third party.
